An appeal has been filed regarding a notice of violation issued on Oct. 22, 2025, by the Town of Clayton’s Code Enforcement Division concerning an unpermitted shipping container at 101 Best Wood Drive, according to information released on Mar. 31.
The matter centers on the placement of a shipping container without proper permits, as specified under Unified Development Ordinance section 4.6.5(D). The property is located at the southeast corner of Best Wood Drive and Powhatan Road.
A hearing before the Board of Adjustment is scheduled for April 15, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the Council Chambers at 111 E Second St., Clayton. This meeting will address whether the notice of violation was properly issued and if any corrective actions are required.
