Boulevard West has been named the 2025 Business of the Year by the Downtown Development Advisory Board in Clayton. The award was presented on February 24 during the Downtown Awards event at Church Spirits and Cocktails.
The Downtown Business of the Year Award is given annually to a business that demonstrates innovation, community spirit, and leadership, while enhancing downtown through creative offerings and strong customer service. Boulevard West, which has operated for nearly eight years, was recognized for its role as a central gathering place in Downtown Clayton.
Nominations highlighted the staff’s personal attention to customers and the welcoming atmosphere. One nominator stated, “Boulevard is a true staple of Main Street. It’s a rare day they don’t have a line, and the staff truly welcomes you into the space- whether you are a regular or a first-time visitor.”
Owner Oisin Finn described visitors’ reactions: “It’s a little unexpected when they walk in to see, like this busy, vibrant coffee shop in downtown Clayton.” Finn also noted that Boulevard West hosts local events and supports downtown initiatives by providing space for community gatherings.
In 2024, Boulevard West relocated from 104 West Main Street to 316 East Main Street. The move was seen as evidence of their commitment to remaining part of downtown’s future.
Finn commented on receiving the award: “It is definitely an honor amongst all the amazing businesses here. I would say just the vibrancy of downtown, that I think a lot of towns do not really have, makes this special. Downtown Clayton still has that small-town charm, and that is important.”
The recognition highlights Boulevard West’s continued investment in downtown Clayton and its ongoing role in supporting local growth.
