Families gathered at Clayton Community Park on April 4 as the Town of Clayton held its Tiny Tots Easter Egg Hunt, an event organized by Clayton Parks and Recreation for children ages four and under. Toddlers and preschoolers searched for colorful eggs across the grass, while their families watched them enjoy one of their first holiday traditions.
The event provided young children with a chance to explore and participate in an egg hunt designed just for them. Organizers said that laughter and excitement filled the park as children discovered treats hidden throughout the field. “These early experiences are special for families,” said Lauren Lambert, Marketing and Special Events Coordinator for Clayton Parks and Recreation. “For many children, this may be their first egg hunt, and we want it to be a joyful and memorable moment they can share together.”
Before the main activity began at 10 a.m., guests enjoyed lawn games and had an opportunity to take photos with the Easter Bunny. Families captured moments of smiles, hugs, and playful energy during these activities.
This year’s event was moved from its usual location at Clayton High School due to ongoing construction there. The new venue offered limited parking but allowed organizers to focus on creating a more intimate experience tailored specifically for younger participants.
Lambert said her team put significant effort into planning every aspect of the celebration: “Our team puts a lot of heart into every detail. Seeing families enjoy that time together makes all the effort worthwhile.” For information about future events or programs hosted by Clayton Parks and Recreation, residents can visit claytonparks.org.
