County of Johnston issued the following announcement on Jan. 6.
Johnston County offices will be closed this Monday, January 17, in observance of the MLK Jr. holiday. That includes Johnston County Animal Services, the landfill and solid waste convenience centers, as well as the Public Library of Johnston County and Smithfield.
The COVID-19 testing site at the Smithfield Men’s Progressive Club will remain open on Monday.
