County of Johnston issued the following announcement on Jul. 30. 

A Heat advisory has been issued for Johnston County today, July 30th, 2021, from 11 AM to 7 PM. Temperatures are expected to be near 94 degrees with a heat index as high as 103.

Remember to:
– Stay hydrated
– Limit outdoor activity as much as possible & take frequent breaks
– Check in on elderly friends, family, and neighbors
– Get your pets plenty of water
