COUNTY OF JOHNSTON: Heritage Center Commission Meeting Rescheduled for August 8th

County of Johnston issued the following announcement on Aug. 3.

The Johnston County Heritage Commission’s regular bimonthly meeting has been rescheduled for Monday, August 8 at 1:00 p.m. 

The meeting is open to the public and will take place in the new County museum space at 329 East Market Street, Smithfield, N.C.

Heritage Center Director Todd Johnson will discuss plans for the museum, which is slated for a soft opening in early October, and the reorganization of the Heritage Center’s research collections in the former First Citizens Bank building. 

The committee will also give reports on some of its featured events such as the Ghost Walk, Black History Program, and the Patrons’ Gala.
