COUNTY OF JOHNSTON: Second Annual Fall Festival, Flu/COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic on Friday, October 28

County of Johnston issued the following announcement on Sept. 5.

The Johnston County Public Health Department will hold its second annual Fall Festival, Flu/COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic on Friday, October 28 from 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. The event is open to the public and will feature three food trucks. Staff will also be handing out free Chick-fil-A vouchers for vaccine recipients while supplies last. 

 Flu and COVID-19 vaccines will be available for individuals six months and older. COVID-19 vaccines are free regardless of health insurance or immigration status. Flu vaccines are covered by most insurance plans. The out of pocket cost for uninsured or self pay patients is as follows:

 Regular flu vaccine: $25

 High dose flu vaccine: $70 

Costumes are welcome at the event. The food truck schedule, pending inclimate weather, will be:

 O’ Taste and Sea- 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.

 Mama Ruth’s- 12:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m.

 Sunset Slush- 12:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m.
