County of Johnston issued the following announcement on Sept. 19.

Johnston County Parks and Open Space will be hosting our 2nd drop-in community meeting for the Johnston County Regional Park Master Plan on September 27th from 6-8 PM at the Smithfield Recreation & Aquatics Center (SRAC). 

The venue is located at 600 M. Durwood Stephenson Hwy, Smithfield, NC 27577, and the meeting will take place on the 2nd floor in the conference room; participants are free to ask the front desk for directions and signs will be posted. 

This meeting will allow residents of the county to give their feedback, wants, and needs for the upcoming Regional Park located in the Cleveland Community. 

We are looking forward to meeting and speaking with you at the event and finding out what residents would like to see at the County’s first park.
