Town of Clayton recently issued the following announcement.
Planning Board Meeting
The Planning Board advises Town Council on rezonings and other development related items. The Planning Board is also responsible for the final decision (to approve or deny) on major site applications for new development projects, such as new retail uses, restaurants, apartment buildings, or commercial buildings. Decisions are based not just on the ordinances, but also on resources such as the Strategic Growth Plan and other adopted documents, as well as project-specific information such as traffic impact analyzes or housing and marketing studies. Following their review, the Board provides a recommendation to the Town Council to assist them while making a final decision. Meetings are held the fourth Monday of the month at 6:00 PM in the Town Council Chambers.
