State Republican lawmakers provided North Carolinians with key wins this year, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Rep. John Bell (R-Greene) said.
Bell's comments in an Oct. 13 Facebook post comes weeks away from the November elections and expand on statements he made in an Oct. 12 release on his website.
"This year, I was proud to work with my colleagues to deliver on key wins for the people of North Carolina — including quickly distributing COVID-19 relief, fully funding law enforcement, expanding rural broadband access, supporting family farmers, investing more in education, helping hurricane victims, taking care of our military families, improving health care access and much more," Bell said in the Facebook post.
Additionally, House Republicans kept their promises, Bell said in an Oct. 12 release on his website.
The party defended the 2nd Amendment, supported the troops, expanded school choice, protected the unborn, improved public safety, supported higher education, expanded rural broadband, reopened businesses, supported family farms, increased teacher salaries, provided funding for Medicaid, reformed the criminal justice system, provided extra credit grants, provided relief for disasters like hurricanes and provided funding due to COVID-19, the party said in the release.
