County of Johnston issued the following announcement on Aug. 17.
The Parks, Greenways and Open Space Office is encouraging the public to take part in a new survey that will gauge residents' priorities for the Johnston County Regional Park project.
The County has held two public forums to discuss the Johnston County Regional Park Master Plan, which includes the park property and the Old Cleveland School recreation facilities. The park site is located at 444 Matthews Road, Clayton, N.C. and the Old Cleveland School site is located at 8994 Cleveland Road, Clayton, N.C.
The survey is available online and will be available to the public through the end of September. The questions range from potential uses for the existing gymnasium facility at the Old Cleveland School site to the types of programs residents hope to see at the 80 acre park site.
Be sure to mark your calendar for the next public input session for the Johnston County Regional Park Master Plan, which will take place on September 27, 2022 at the Smithfield Recreation and Aquatics Center located at 600 M. Durwood Stephenson Highway, Smithfield, N.C.
