Town of Clayton issued the following announcement on Aug. 15.
The Clayton Center hosts a one-of-a-kind, family-friendly magic show featuring professional magicians from movies, television, and Las Vegas stages on Saturday, Aug. 20 at 8:00pm. The MAGiCon Big Stage show is the premier event of the three day festival. Get your tickets now before they disappear!
The show’s Master of Ceremonies, Dan Harlan, is world famous for his unique magical creations. One of the most innovative modern magicians, Harlan’s cutting-edge miracles are coveted by discerning connoisseurs of fine magic done well. Harlan is also among a select group of magicians who have fooled Penn & Teller. This is your chance to see him live on stage!
The show also features world-renowned memory expert, SarahElla Phant, who is a writer, artist, speaker, creator, mnemonist, and magician. Her varied background spans early-childhood education, music, and theater. As President of Raleigh Magic Club, she works to shine light on this area’s rich magic heritage, build excitement about magic as an art form, and grow awareness of local magic.
Also appearing is theatrical magician Joshua Lozoff who performs at corporate and private functions around the world, and presents his stage show at performing arts centers across the United States, as well as Asia and Latin America. He was recently seen on Penn & Teller: Fool Us. The YouTube clip has been viewed by nearly half a million people.
Headlining the show is the enigmatic Alain Nu direct from his own highly-acclaimed Las Vegas show. He’s a full-time stage performer appearing in theaters, casinos, and cruise ships around the world. He also starred in a four-part mini-series on TLC and is the author of two books, State Of Mind and Picture Your ESP, available on Amazon and in bookstores. Alain Nu is a truly gifted, clever, and creative artist whose performance must be seen to be believed! And even then, you won’t believe it.
In addition to the Big Stage Show, MAGiCon features a full weekend of events for both magicians and fans of magic. The weekend kicks off with an early-bird outdoor concert and strolling magic in Clayton’s Town Square on Thursday night.
