Town of Smithfield issued the following announcement on Nov. 20.
The Town of Smithfield's Christmas Lights Contest is a great way to show that holiday spirit!
This year, we will only have one category...the BEST lights display in Smithfield. It can be elegant, Clark Grisowld-ish or anything else your creative talents can imagine.
You'll have until December 10th to complete your display and register. We'll post pictures of all our entries right here on our Facebook page.
From there, it's simple; the picture with the most likes will be our winner. Good luck and we can't wait to see all the fantastic entries!
