TOWN OF CLAYTON: Winter Storm Preparedness Reminder

TOWN OF CLAYTON: Winter Storm Preparedness Reminder
0Comments

Town of Clayton issued the following announcement on Jan. 14.

As the potential for a winter storm this weekend increases, there are a few things we want you to know:

The Clayton Police Department encourages everyone to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary. This allows emergency vehicles to operate safely and allows crews to clear the roads more quickly.

If you experience a power outage and have Town of Clayton Utilities, please call 919-553-1530. Note that outside of business hours that number will roll to 911. Johnston County dispatchers will alert our electric crews.

Duke Energy customers who experience power outages should call Duke Energy’s automated outage-reporting systems for their respective utility:

   • Duke Energy Progress: 1-800-419-6356

   • Duke Energy Carolinas: 1-800-POWERON (1-800-769-3766)

If you see down power lines, trees, or other hazards please call 911.
