Town of Princeton issued the following announcement on June 9.
The Princeton Graded School Presentation will be June 18, 2022, on site, from 10am-2pm. It’s the first celebration and with the intentions of more to come in the future. The alumni have raised the money for the Historical Marker to be displayed out front with the help of NC State Archives and Preservations Department. The School is one of two in Johnston County still standing. One of only a few in the State. Beautiful inside with the auditorium. Unfortunately, graffiti has taken place inside. There will be a speaker, local church representatives of all races are encouraged to attend, along with other community citizens. We will have a tent set up with chairs, tables and provide other areas for personal needs. Mark your calendars, set a reminder on your phone, and we look forward to seeing you there on the 18th!
