Town Of Smithfield issued the following announcement on Nov. 5.

You’ve probably noticed all the litter around town. We certainly have. It’s a problem and it takes all of us to help keep Smithfield clean and beautiful.

That’s why the Town of Smithfield is announcing our Adopt-A-Street program. Civic organizations, businesses, churches and other groups are encouraged to adopt-a-street in Smithfield and help keep it clear of trash and debris.
