Town of Smithfield issued the following announcement on Jul. 15.

The Town of Smithfield has an immediate opening for an IT Support Specialist.

We are looking for an applicant with strong analytical skills, along with familiarity with different operating systems, such as Windows, Windows Servers and/or macOS, and be proficient in one or more programming languages. The applicant will provide system administration for Windows Servers and VM’s including installation, configuration, security, storage, resource used and allocation of server drives, backup and restore policies and perform other duties as assigned.
