Johnston County recently issued the following announcement.
Holiday Hours for Public Utilities, Landfill and Convenience Centers
Landfill and Convenience Sites:
The Johnston County Landfill and Solid Waste Convenience Centers will be closed on Friday, July 3rd in observance of the Independence Day Holiday.
We will return to our regular business schedules on Saturday, July 4th with normal weekend operating hours.

Landfill Hours (year-round):
The Landfill facility is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., and on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., excluding county holidays.
Convenience Sites Winter Hours (October 1st - April 30th):
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday and Wednesday: Closed
Convenience Sites Summer Hours (May 1st - September 30th):
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday and Wednesday: Closed

Johnston County Public Utilities will be closed on Friday, July 3rd in observance of the Independence Day Holiday.
