County of Johnston issued the following announcement on Aug. 20.
County Offices, County Landfill and Trash Convenience Sites will be closed on Monday, September 6th for Labor Day Holiday
Public Utilities Normal Operating Hours:
The Johnston County Public Utilities Office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, excluding county holidays. Our phone number is (919) 989-5075 and fax number is (919) 934-0256.

Landfill Hours (year-round):
The Landfill facility is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., and on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., excluding county holidays.
Convenience Sites Winter Hours (October 1st - April 30th):
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday and Wednesday: Closed
Convenience Sites Summer Hours (May 1st - September 30th):
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday and Wednesday: Closed
