At our Town Council meeting on September 7th, Mayor Andy Moore proclaimed September 17-23 as Constitution Week in Smithfield. Pictured here, along with Mayor Moore, are members of the Smith-Bryan Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution Janie Temple, Lynn Johnson and Valerie Howell.
This afternoon at 3:45 p.m. on the steps of the Johnston County Government courthouse, the Daughters of the American Revolution will hold a brief ceremony to commemorate the signing of the U.S. Constitution 234 years ago today.
