County of Johnston issued the following announcement on June 22.
Located at Smithfield-Selma High School Parking Lot
700 M. Durwood Stephenson Parkway, Smithfield, NC 27577
In order to better serve the community, we are limiting the number of items to three (3) boxes or trash bags per vehicle. Please be mindful of the items you are bringing to shred. For prompt service, have your items prepped and ready, otherwise you will be asked to adjust your items, and re-enter at the back of the line.
We cannot accept:
- Plastic bags
- Hanging folders
- Binders
- Binder clips
- Books
- Ink cartridges
- Toners
- Nuts and Bolts
- Office supplies (i.e., hole punchers and staple removers)
- NO TRASH such as syringes, glass, cans, cardboard tubes
