Town of Smithfield issued the following announcement on Jan. 12.
Town Seeks Input from Municipal Service District Residents and Businesses Prior to Contract Renewal
In accordance with NCGS 160A-536 (d1) (1), The Town of Smithfield must solicit input from the residents and business owners as to the needs of the Municipal Service District before the Town can enter into a contract with a private agency, renew a contract with a private agency (such as the DSDC), or hold the required public hearing.
The Town is asking residents and businesses within the MSD only to submit your input by January 11th through the following methods:
