TOWN OF PRINCETON: 2021 Election Filing Ends At Noon On July 16, 2021

Town of Princeton issued the following announcement on Jul. 15.

Princeton will hold municipal election on November 2, 2021. There are three seats available for this election cycle-mayor and two commissioner seats. The filing fee for mayor is $10 while the filing fee for commissioner is $5. As of this posting on July 13, 2021 at 2:30 pm, there have been no filings for any of the available seats in Princeton. 

Filers must go to the Johnston County Board of Elections in Smithfield between 8 am and 5 pm on July 13, 14 & 15, or by noon on July 16, 2021. The address is 205 S. Second Street, Smithfield, NC 27577. 

A municipal election in Johnston County is a non-partisan election held every two years in odd-numbered years to elect members of a municipality's governing bodies. There are 11 municipalities whose boundaries lie within Johnston County: Archer Lodge, Selma, Clayton, Princeton, Micro, Benson, Four Oaks, Pine Level, Smithfield, Kenly, and Wilson's Mills. The filing period to run for Princeton office is noon on Friday, July 2 to noon on Friday, July 16, 2021.
