Wilson’s Mills Police Department issued the following announcement on Jul. 23.
Please see below for information regarding the Citizens Care Program organized by our Police Department.
The Wilson’s Mills Police Department is dedicated to assisting those in our community who seek companionship, a helping hand, or additional support. To that end, WMPD will upon registration, provide periodic home checks or telephone calls to all eligible members of our community. This service offers some peace of mind to seniors age 65 and older, residents who are disabled, handicapped, or who have a serious medical condition. Those with special needs, latchkey-children or others who live-alone may also be able to receive this free service depending on their specific circumstances.
The goal of the program is to fellowship with our community by listening to ideas/concerns, participating in social activities, ensure their well-being as we continue to conduct our regular policing responsibilities.
Anyone interested in more information should contact Sgt. M. R. Peedin, program coordinator at (919) 713-3035.
Thank you for your continued support.
