Johnston County Board of Commissioners issued the following announcement on Jul. 31.
The Johnston County Board of Commissioners will meet in regular session on Monday, August 2, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room located in the Johnston County Courthouse at 207 E. Johnston Street, Smithfield, NC. Please be advised that there will be limited seating available for the public in the Commissioners meeting room due to the capacity of the room and ongoing COVID-19 precautions, however, an additional limited amount of overflow space will be available in the hallway outside the room.
Citizens that would like to address the Board for public comment, but have concerns with physically attending the meeting, may email those comments to Clerk to the Board Paula Woodard at paula.woodard@johnstonnc.com.
The meetings will also be livestreamed on YouTube at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC21U-pnuuaJUbB6qQAnREvg. Staff will post the link to the Johnston County Government Facebook page once the livestream begins.
