COUNTY OF JOHNSTON: New Monoclonal Antibody Center Available

County of Johnston issued the following announcement on Sep 11. 

The Johnston County Public Health Department has a new Monoclonal Antibody Center available for eligible patients starting tomorrow, September 15, 2021 from 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. The Monoclonal Antibody Center is located in the Health Department parking lot and is available by appointment only.

If you want to schedule an appointment or have questions about eligibility or treatment call 919-268-1621. This treatment is NOT a substitute for vaccination. 

Monoclonal Antibody Therapy is a treatment option for some COVID-19 patients. This treatment is currently limited to those meeting specific medical criterion. If one of the following applies to you, you may be eligible:

 Test positive for COVID-19.

 Have at least mild symptoms for no more than seven days.

 Are age 65 plus, or 12 plus with conditions that increase risk of severe illness. These include pregnancy, being overweight/obese, diabetes, lung disease, heart disease, among others or have difficulty accessing healthcare services.
