October marks National Principals Month, a time when Johnston County Public Schools (JCPS) acknowledges the efforts of its school leaders. The district expressed appreciation for the principals who are integral to shaping educational experiences and fostering positive school environments.
Principals in JCPS play a crucial role in motivating teachers, staff, and students toward excellence. Their work involves overcoming challenges and creating thriving environments for students. Although they do not seek recognition, many appreciate it when received. JC Early College Academy Principal Robert Daniels noted, “The enormous support at the national level and from the school district has been great.” He added that this support encourages school leaders to excel both personally and professionally.
Daniels is among 48 principals recognized during this year's observance of National Principals Month. The October principals meeting saw all JCPS principals acknowledged for their leadership contributions to the academic success of the district.
The list of recognized JCPS principals includes Matt Johnson (Archer Lodge Middle), Dr. Takicey Dunston (Benson Elementary), Dr. Dana Jernigan (Benson Middle), among others across various schools in the county.
JCPS values its principals' leadership and tireless efforts which significantly impact students' lives. The district takes pride in expressing gratitude through initiatives like #ThankAPrincipal, highlighting their contributions to schools and communities.
In Mr. Daniels's words, “JCPS is a great place to work!”
