Johnston County Public Schools continues to emphasize character education, recognizing students who exemplify positive traits each month. For January 2025, several students were honored for their outstanding character.
Abbey Robinson, a fifth grader at River Dell Elementary, was recognized for her self-discipline. Known as the "Ace in the Hole" on her school's Battle of the Books Team, she completes every book before her peers and excels academically without seeking individual praise.
Ariana Rubio-De Casas from Thanksgiving Elementary was acknowledged for respect. Her behavior reflects kindness and responsibility, setting an example for classmates with her quiet yet impactful presence.
Jasper Temixqueno-Richards of Micro Elementary demonstrated compassion by assisting teachers and peers alike. His friendly demeanor and willingness to engage with others highlight his empathetic nature.
Benjamin Keith, a sixth grader at Archer Lodge Middle School, also received recognition for compassion. Described as patient and kind by teachers, he is known for helping classmates and advocating for others.
Jeremy Bingman from Corinth Holders High was celebrated for his responsibility. As the Pirate Battalion Commander, he leads over 85 cadets while maintaining strong interpersonal skills and determination.
Sawyer Driver from Corinth-Holders Elementary was noted for dependability. He assists daily in the school library with tasks that enhance its operations, earning appreciation from staff and peers alike.
